of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 15, 1929. After graduating from Niagara Falls High School, she worked at Union Carbide for a short time.

Mrs. Murphy was an elections inspector with the Board of Elections for many years. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, serving on the Bereavement committee and with the Altar and Rosary Society and was involved with Love, Heart and Soul in Niagara Falls. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed knitting and crocheting many beautiful afghans for her family.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband of 69 years, William L. Murphy, Sr., two sons William L. (Mary Jo) Murphy, Jr. and Patrick (Kathy) Murphy, four daughters M. Susan (Charles) Hossfeld, Mary (Sam) Hager, Donna (Bruce) Shahbaz and Melissa (Douglas) Musall, also sixteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Joyce Murphy. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at the wishes of her family, with interment in North Ridge Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in her name to Love, Heart and Soul, 939 Ontario Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.
