Margaret was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1941 to Joseph Andrew and Beulah (Hennington) Veach and passed from this life in Oklahoma City on February 10, 2019.

Margaret grew up on the family farm near Ringwood and attended school there. Margaret had the honor of being named as the Watermelon Queen of Ringwood. In 1958 she met a young man by the name of Fred Walenta who swept her off her feet and on October 25, 1958 the two was married.

After their wedding they lived in three different towns while Fred worked as a surveyor for the highway department. In 1960 they moved to Fairview and made it their home. Margaret was a hard working woman and held down many jobs in her life.

She worked in the meat department at Ideals, as a secretary for Montgomery and Curtis law firm, and Sears just to name a few. However, she loved animals and she worked for around 22 years for Mike Haworth as a Veterinarian Assistant. After retiring from Haworth’s she worked as a Funeral Assistant for the Fairview Funeral Home for several years.

She finished her many years of working career with her last job working at Farm Bureau Margaret loved sewing and quilting and met with her group in Ringwood every Monday. She also enjoyed playing cards with her card group. She truly enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and taking adventures with Fred.

They took trips to Branson with the card group, Colorado and New Mexico to see her daughter, a trip to Alaska, western Canada and most recently to Europe. She also loved to go camping and planning to go when she got better. Margaret was loved by not only her family but all her friends and we will all miss her very much.

Preceding her in death was her parents, one son, Jeffery Scott Walenta, two half-sisters and one half-brother. She leaves to mourn, her husband Fred, son Butch Walenta and wife Ginny, and daughter Gayla Wilder and husband James Jr. all of Fairview, five grandchildren, Matt, Andrea, Ashlee, Audrey, and Addisyn and two great grandchildren, Carter and Aubriana.
