Mary “Nadine” Travis, 81, of Hartford, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Ohio County Hospital. She was born June 4, 1937 in Hartford to the late Homer Young and Versie Schroader Young. Mrs. Travis was a homemaker and member of Grace Chapel Church of God in Philpot.

Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Travis and four sisters, Joyce Ann Rearden, Alma Autry, Ida May Neal, and Dorothy West. She leaves behind to treasure her memory three sons, Hurston “Danny” (Denise) Travis of Beaver Dam, James (LaCretia)Travis of Hartford, Carl (Angie) Travis of Newark, Ohio; one daughter, Judy Travis of Richmond, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Alberto) Vargas, Caleb (Audrey) Travis, Jeremiah Travis, Jocelyn Travis, C.J. Travis, Emily Travis, Seth Hammons, and Sarah Peters; three great-grandchild Oliver Vargas, Hurston Vargas and Rodrigo Vargas; three brothers, Robert (Michelle) Young of Hartford, Jerry (Carol) Young of Olaton, and G.H. Young of Olaton; and one sister, Clara Jane (Paul) Johnson of Hartford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.

Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery in Hartford. Friends may visit with Mrs. Travis’ family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
