Mary LeVonia Neamo Marsh peacefully transitioned from earth to eternity on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Martinsville,Virginia. Mary was born on December 5, 1940 to the late James Wallace and Thelma Clayborne Neamo. She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlos Neamo, husband, Rev.

Theo Marsh, and stepson, Bryant “Ronnie” Marsh. Mary spent her early years in Martinsville and, after graduating high school, moved to Richmond, Virginia, where she worked for the City of Richmond until retirement. After retirement, she returned home to Martinsville to care for her mother.

Mary was a long-standing member of the Pilgrim Baptist Church, which she attended until her health declined. There she served on the Usher Ministry, Missionary Ministry and Choir and enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family. In 2002, she was united in marriage with Rev.

Theo Marsh whom she loved and adored. They spent their latter years bringing each other joy. Mary, affectionally known as Von, enjoyed watching Hallmark and relaxing in her recliner.

She often kept in touch with family with phone calls, and enjoyed when they stopped in for visits. Von will be remembered for her quiet, gentle spirit and sweet smile. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving, devoted niece, goddaughter and caregiver, Tiffany Neamo; brothers, Bradley (Ruthie) Neamo, Washington DC, James Neamo, El Marte, California, Michael (Regina) Neamo, Sr., Oxen Hill, MD, Otis Neamo, Frederick (Debra) Neamo and Ricky (Stephanie) Neamo, all of Martinsville; step children, Julian Marsh, Victor Marsh, Timothy Marsh and Cletis Marsh; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 1:00 PM at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 601 3rd Street, Martinsville. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Carver Memorial Gardens.
