Mary Pederson, age 74, of Casselton, ND, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Mary Ellen Byram was born December 12, 1943, in Fargo, the daughter of Harvey and Pearl (Erdmann) Byram. She grew up in Casselton where she graduated from high school.

On July 12, 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Keith Pederson at Casselton. She was at home to raise their two daughters until beginning to work at 1st State Bank of Casselton. She retired after working nearly 20 years at the bank.

Mary & Keith had spent the last 9 winters in Arizona where Mary was involved doing quilting and crafting projects many of which were for charity, and also enjoyed Monday evening concerts. During the summers, they enjoyed their lake cabin at Floyd Lake near Detroit Lakes. She embroidered dishtowels and crocheted items many of which she donated to Dollars for Scholars at Casselton.

Mary loved to window shop…and was always looking for the best deal! She was a former member of the Moravian Church at Casselton. Mary is survived by her husband Keith, Casselton; two daughters, Karrie (Steve) Rage, Fargo, and Lori (Mitchell) Ellingson, Grace City, ND, 2 grandchildren, Emma Rose and Isaac Rage; 1 brother William (Lynne) Byram, Devils Lake, ND; and 7 nieces and nephews: Carson, Brent, Kelly, Blaine, Beth, Tami and Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Jim and Merle Byram.
