Obituary for Mary Porretto Mary Porretto, 90, passed away at her residence on Friday, October 12, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Italy, and as a child immigrated to the U.S., first living in Brooklyn, and then settling in Eltingville in 1963. She was an extremely loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved cooking for her family, and spending holidays with them, her favorite being Christmas Eve.

She was also a big fan of the cooking channel, which she watched regularly. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sal, who passed away in 2002. She was the loving mother to Joseph, John, Robert and Lisa Antico and devoted grandmother to Maria, Anthony, Jenna, Sabrina and Robert.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Rd Staten Island, New York 10312.
