Mary Recek, 73, Starford, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Wiley Ingram and Penella Mary (Rice) Burkett, she was born September 23, 1944 in Paxton, FL. Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church, Starford.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family and enjoyed time shared with them. Mary’s interests included spending time gardening and playing Bingo and she will also be remembered as an amazing cook. Surviving are her children, Carla (Richard) Williams, Tarpon Springs, FL, Dawne (William) Wernet, Navarre, FL, Penny (David) Westfall, Georgetown, IN, Amy (Tom) Ingargiola, Clymer, and Wiley Whittington and his partner, Christy, Wild Wood, WI; step-child, Christopher (Janice) Recek, Fairhope, AL; grandchildren, Anthony, Marissa, Robert, Christen, Justen, Shelby, Lucas, Jessica, Jarod, Alyssa, Joshua, Hanah, Jenaveve, Elijah, Gabe, and Noah; great grandchildren, Heather, Lucas, Jace, Trent, and Presley; brother, Jerome Burkett and his partner Diane, Niceville, FL; and her pets, Sammy and Toby.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents; brother, Eugene Burkett; step-mother, Della Burkett; parents-in-law, Mike and Jean Recek. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday morning, 10 am, in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev.

John Balliet, officiating. Interment will follow in the Church of the Resurrection Cemetery, Starford. www.
