Gregory Alan Jones, 63, Homer City, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 15, 2018. The son of the late Alvin Winston and Emma Lorraine (Hinderliter) Jones, he was born August 15, 1954 in Latrobe, PA. Greg was employed by the Indiana Regional Medical Center for 37 years prior to retiring in 2011.

Greg enjoyed nature as demonstrated by his amazing nature photography. Numerous people visiting the Artists Hand Gallery in Indiana have enjoyed his work. His photos also can be seen in several other locations throughout the region.

His other interests included gardening, riding his motorcycle with friends and fishing the French River in Canada with his wife Donna. As a member of the Homer City United Presbyterian Church, he never waviered in his love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. Surviving is his wife Donna; sisters, Nancy Jones, Camp Hill, PA, and Sandra Jones, Encino, CA; step daughter, Suzanne (David) Mateer, Indiana; step grandchildren, Jonathan Mateer, Denver, CO, and Jordan (Alex) Zupanovich, Monaca, PA; and his best friend, his dog Willow.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM, at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday morning, 11 am in the Lefdahl Chapel. Interment in the Blairsville Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Homer City United Presbyterian Church, 40, East Elm St. Homer City, Pa 15748 or The Artist Hand Gallery, 732 Philadelphia St. Indiana, Pa. 15701.
