OBITUARY Mary Simpson August 31, 1935 – January 6, 2019 Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Simpson, 83, went to be with the Lord and joined her husband, Howard “Smiley” Simpson, her parents Sylvester Turner and Hattie Mae Turner, her infant son David Simpson, son-in-law Tommy Matthews, and her brother Lawrence Turner on January 6, 2019. Mrs. Simpson was a resident of Weaver, AL for the past 6 years, formerly of Oxford, AL. She loved her family dearly, which included many others along the way that adopted her as “their” mama and mawmaw.

She was one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet. Mrs.Simpson is survived by her children. Daughters, Margaret Matthews, Essie Beck, and Martha Simpson.

Her sons, Willis and Gregory Simpson. Her grandchildren Andra Barnhill (Justin), Chelsea Simpson (David Englett), and Ryan Simpson. Her great-grandchildren Stella and Terra Barnhill, Cassie Winngingham, Maddie Simpson, Brylan Cortez, and Brayden Woods.

Her sisters Louise Norwood and Lorene Collett. Mrs. Simpsons service will be held at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary on at 12pm Sunday, January 13th, 2018 with Gray Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Hepsibah Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleburne County.
