Obituary for MARY THORNTON SWINDON Mary Thornton Swindon, 60, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and attended St. Patrick’s School. She formerly worked at SDC in Syracuse and was a licensed hairdresser.

Mary was a communicant of Holy Family Church and was an Ovarian Cancer Volunteer. She was predeceased by her father, James Thornton. She is survived by her husband, Gary Swindon, Jr, daughter; Renee Thornton, son; James (Cloreesa Dingman) Swindon, granddaughter; Leyla Swindon, mother; Libbie (Stirpe) Thornton, brothers; Pat (Kathy) Monti and John Monti, sister; Sue Monti (Ziggy), 3 nieces; Lisa, Adrien and Julia, nephew; Eric, mother-in-law; Katherine Swindon and sister-in-law; Jennifer (Jeff) Swindon-White.
