Obituary for Maryann Tolaro Maryann Tolaro, 65, of Parma, passed away on May 19, 2018 following a 10-year courageous battle with Myelofibrosis. She was born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (nee Krial) Ropog. Maryann is the beloved wife of 21 years to Phillip whom she shared 35 years with; loving step-mother of Phillip (Angela) Isaacs; cherished grandmother of Steven and Joshua; dear sister of Kathleen (Donald) Meister and Louis (Linda) Ropog; adored aunt of James, Carol, and Christine Ropog; devoted friend of many.

Maryann retired from KeyCorp (formerly Cleveland Trust and AmeriTrust Co.) as Vice President in the Commercial Real Estate department following almost 40 years of service. She will be remembered as one who cared for everyone else and had a selfless heart. She donated a bullet-proof vest to the canine unit at the Parma Police Department and provided lunch to the nurses at the Cleveland Clinic Tossig House on a couple of occasions to thank them for their wonderful care and compassion.

Maryann believed in the importance of medical research and stem cell donation. So much so that she was an anatomical gift to the Case Western Reserve Medical School in honor of her special friend and graduate of Case, Renee’ Csuhran. Maryann felt strongly regarding the need of new bone marrow donors.
