Obituary for Alvin M. “Al” Griffin Alvin M. “Al” Griffin, age 90, of Strongville, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. He was born in Portland, OR on March 27, 1928 to the late Edward M. SR. and Gladys M. (nee Mitchell) Griffin.

Cherished husband of the late Phyllis E. (nee Christensen) Griffin; beloved father of John (Laura) Griffin and Stephen (Elizabeth) Griffin; loving grandfather of Thomas, Matthew, William and Daniel Griffin; survived by 8 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons; caring brother of the late Edward M. Griffin Jr; dear friend and companion of Marilyn Todia. Al served his country during World War II in the United States Navy Air Corp. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing Bridge and Tennis.

Al was retired from LTV Steel Executive and had an MBA from the University of Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12PM until the time of service at 2PM in the Westwood Abbey Mausoleum 6265 Columbia Rd. North Olmsted, OH 44070.
