Matthew Allen Coon, 36, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday February 6, 2019. Services will be 4:00pm Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, with visitation from 3pm to service time. Memorials may be left to his mother, Caron for the benefit his children.

Matthew was born on August 8, 1982 in Moline, the son of Rev. Gary and Caron (Sanders) Coon. He had been employed at the former Scamper Inn, Fazoli’s and HyVee.

Mr. Coon loved spending time with his family, he loved the Lord and reading scripture, camping, fishing and was a talented artist. Survivors include his mother and step father, Caron and Don Nugent, Moline; children, Madison Jacobs, Matthew Terry Coon Jr., Alisia Sarver, all of Milan; sisters, Jennifer (Kirk) Pittman and Kelly Schutz; grandmother, Barbara Henson. He was preceded in death by his father; 3 sets of grandparents; aunt, Karla and uncle, Steve.
