Roger True Logan, 92, of Moline, passed peacefully on March 26, 2019 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Ave. , Rock Island.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Knox Chapel. Inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s’ choice.

Roger was born January 21, 1927 in Overton, NE, a son of John and Beatrice (Casey) Logan. He married Myrt Stubblefield in June of 1949. Roger served in the U.S. Army during the Occupation of Japan and was discharged in 1946.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska and worked for the Department of the Army in many capacities before retiring in 1986 at the Rock Island Arsenal. Roger was a lifetime member of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association and a die – hard Cornhusker fan. He was also a member of Lodge #57 A.F & A.M., KAABA Shriners, Blackhawk Shrine Club and he was a 32nd degree Mason of the Valley.

He was also a life member of N.A.R.F.E., member of American Legion Post #246 and a member of First Congregational Church, Moline. Roger is survived by his wife, Myrt; son, David (Teri) Logan, Davenport; daughter, Sharon Snow, Newport, OR; granddaughter, DeAna Fountain; grandson, Jeremy (Carissa) Fountain; great grandchildren, Devin, Dazia, Mackenzie, Trenton, Isaiah and great great granddaughter, Amiah Allen; sisters in law, Helen Brannon, Jessie O’Neil and Betty Stubblefield; Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ester.
