Stephen D. Summers, 70, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am, Wednesday, February 6th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Christian Care Homeless Shelter, Rock Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family with the arrangements. Steve was born on March 5, 1948 in Rock Island the son of Rose Summers.

He married Chris Youd on October 30, 1971. Steve was an electrician working from IBEW Local Hall No. 145, Moline.

Steve was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 145, Moline. He had served in the Illinois Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Chris; daughters, Tara (Chris) Summers-Berger, Rock Island and Bree (Alex) Summers-Kirsch, Kewanee; and a granddaughter, Taylor Summers-Berger.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother & grandmother.
