Matthew’s Obituary Matthew Scott Ibbitson, 51 of Pembroke, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. He was born in Weymouth on October 21, 1967. Matthew was a loving, kind spirit, who enjoyed his community and spending time with his friends.

He was an avid Boston Sports fan and loved to bowl. Matthew was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hanson. Matthew is the son of the late Mary E. (Sullivan) Ibbitson and is survived by his father Richard H. Ibbitson and his step-mother Brenda Lee Mason of Florida.

He was the brother of Edward Ibbitson and his wife Elizabeth of Texas and the late Daniel Ibbitson. Matthew is also survived by his step-sister Valarie Mason and her daughter Kendall Mason, both of Maine, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends at Mayflower Housing in Pembroke. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2pm at the First Baptist Church, 214 Main Street, Hanson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
