Funeral services for Matthew Lee Strasbaugh will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur, with Pastor Dick Terry and Reverend Ted Flood officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur. Matthew was born April 3, 2000 at West Point, MS to Steven W. & Patrice L. (Stroupe) Strasbaugh.

Being a military child,… Read More » Matthew made his home in many places, including Mississippi, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and England. He graduated from Lakenheath High School in June, 2018, with plans to pursue a career in Engineering and Mathematics.

Matthew had a very unique bond with his younger brother, Noah. Although they were nine years apart in age, they were best friends and truly enjoyed spending time together. Matthew was a very gifted guitarist, composing much of the music he played.

He enjoyed caring for and walking his dog; as well as playing computer games with family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Steve & Patrice Strasbaugh; his brother, Noah Strasbaugh; paternal grandparents, Charles & LaDonna Strasbaugh of Sulphur; maternal grandmother, Linda Johnson and maternal grandfather, John Stroupe of Atlanta, GA; great grandmother, LaVona Nieman of Tuttle; aunts, Marcie Stroupe of Atlanta and Jill (Strasbaugh) McGill & husband Mitch of Sulphur; uncle, Don Strasbaugh & wife Tina of Gainesville, TX; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Mitch McGill, Don Strasbaugh, Bryan McDermott, Casey McDermott, Les McDermott and Bill Betts.
