Mattie Tenney Mrs. Mattie R Tenney, age 77, of Newnan passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Tenney was born on November 20, 1941 in Thomaston, GA to the late James and Beatrice Gibby. She worked as a seamstress for many years and enjoyed restoring antiques.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Marvin Eugene Tenney and her sister, Jannie King. She is survived by her children, Lisa and her husband J.T. Watson of Newnan, Julie Tenney and her partner Craig Howard of Hogansville, Amy and her husband Craig Adams of Newnan and Jamie and her husband Steve Casswell of Newnan; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, George and his wife Alandis “Cookie” Gibby of Warner Robbins. A service to celebrate Mrs. Tenney’s life will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home.

Interment will be held directly following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.
