Max L. Riad, age 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the family residence. Mr. Riad was born in Egypt and has been a U. S. Citizen for more than 50 years. He was the son of the late Julia and Labib Riad.

His 3 brothers and 2 sisters also preceded him in death. Mr. Riad worked for Hardwick Stove works for more than 10 years. He also worked for Lee University and retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital (Tennova) after several years of service.

He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and reading his Bible. Mr. Riad attended the North Cleveland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Evon B. Riad of Cleveland, his daughter, Julie Burkhart and her husband Marty of Ooltewah, his son, John Riad of Cleveland, his granddaughter, Krista G. Riad also of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will be held private for the family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
