Max Patrick White, age 69, of Keymar, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018 in Baltimore. Born June 21, 1948 in Lewistown, Pa. , he was the son of the late Warren Max and Mary McRory White.

He was married for nearly 48 years to Ann Dodson White, whom he met in college. Mr. White was a graduate of Chambersburg High School and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Shippensburg University. At Linganore High School, he was a business teacher and work study coordinator. Moving into administration, he supervised various programs including service learning, business education and business partnerships. He served as president of the Frederick County Teachers Association and was a member of the Maryland State Teachers Association.

He was a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Libertytown, serving as a parish council member, lector and Eucharistic minister. He grew grapes and made his own wine for over 40 years and was a member of the American Wine Society. He also enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife, especially to Scotland.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Rebecca O’Brien and husband Casey of Elkridge, Patrick White and wife Tabetha of Frederick and Christian White of Woodstock, Ga. , grandchildren, Penelope and Mikayla White; and brothers, Warren White of Yuma, Ariz. , and Gary Halso of North Carolina.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Libertytown, 9190 Church St., Union Bridge which is one block north of the Route 75 and Route 26 intersection in Libertytown. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. in the church with inurnment immediately following in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Fr.

Chuck Wible will be the celebrant. A luncheon will follow in the parish center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Timothy and Susan Baldwin Endowment for Education at FCC Foundation, 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702 (frederick.
