Maxine’s Obituary Maxine Clower, 86, of Poetown Road (Bluewell), Bluefield, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 10, 1932 in Kentucky and had been a resident of Bluewell for most of her life. She was an active member and contributor of the First Baptist Church of Bluewell where she had been a former choir member, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, and was involved in the WMU.

She was retired from Mercer County Board of Education’s transportation department. She had also been a former director of the Mercer County Special Olympics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Nick Hornick; her second husband, Doug Morrison; and her third husband, Johnnie Clower, Sr.; and a stepson, Lewis Clower.

Survivors include: 3 sons: Nick, Daniel and Philip Hornick; all of Bluewell 4 stepsons: Johnnie F. Clower, Jr (Frankie) and wife Dana of Lorton Lick Rd. Timothy Clower and wife Tina of Bluewell Clifton Clower of Green Valley Rodney Clower and wife Sandra of Windmill Hill Rd. 1 step-daughter: Linda Wyatt and husband Douglas of Fairmont Special caregiver: Pam Ward of Falls Mills, VA 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Bluewell with Rev.

James Milam and Rev. Norman Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00Pm at the First Baptist Church in Bluewell. Online condolences will be accepted at www. cravens-shires.com.
