Obituary for Maxine Katherine Hodgemire Maxine Hodgemire, 73, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born October 6, 1944 to the late Walter and Lillian (Webster) Burns. Maxine was united in marriage to Frederick J. “Fritz” Hodgemire on September 30, 1961.

He preceded her in death on August 27, 2007. Maxine, along with Fritz had been longtime members of First Missionary Baptist Church. Maxine devoted her life to her husband and children.

Maxine is survived by her children, John Hodgemire, Shellie (Dave) Bowman, Shane (Jamie) Hodgemire and Shawn Hodgemire; 7 grandchildren; sister, Julie (Steve) Carroll; sisters-in-law, Marlyn Byron and Carol Burns; and many nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Hodgemire; grandson, Todd Hodgemire; and her brother, Larry Burns. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 14th, 11:00 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 13th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
