On June 13, 2018 at 1:40 pm, May Kangdouangnhot was reunited with her parents, Tham and Tar. She was their only child. In august 1956, she married Mang and to this union they have 2 sons and 1 daughter.

Early 1979, May and her family escaped Communist Laos to a refugee camp in Nongkhai, Thailand. In late 1979 they immigrated to Raleigh, NC, sponsored by Calvary Presbyterian Church. She was a member of various Lao Associations and made great contributions to help build many temples throughout the country and abroad.

As a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she taught her children family values, kindness, compassion, and generosity to all. Ms. May lived a full life and left behind loved ones that will miss her dearly and carry on her legacy of peace, love and light. Her children: Peter Kang (Patty), Khamsane (Keo) and Khamphat Kangdouangnhot; grandchildren: Khamsenng Keovisayarath, Eric, Patrick, Daniel and Andy Kang, Orisa and Sean; great-grandchild, Vincent; and a host of special friends.
