Obituary for Melvyn Raymond Radovich Melvyn was the eldest of 3 children, born on August 28,1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Melvyn was a great father, brother, friend and neighbor. Melvyn truly savored the simplest pleasures, like watching Saints and LSU football, working in his tool shed, and spending time with his family and pets.

Honoring Melvyn’s memory are his partner of 18 years, Myra LaCava; children, Melissa Barnes (Ronnie), Elizabeth Nail (Chris), Mary Radovich, Michelle Reynaud (Fred) and Larisa Radovich; grandchildren, Ashley Lester (Cody), Alex Reynaud (Paige), Nicholas Barnes, James Nail, Christopher Reynaud, Rachel Nail, Dana DiMaria, Daniella DiMaria, Alaina Samikkannu, Gabrielle Samikkannu; Great grandchild, Beau Lester. He is also survived by his beloved sisters Rhonda Radovich and Terri Radovich Gambler, and numerous nephews and nieces. Melvyn is preceded in death by his parents Raymond R. Radovich and Shirley Lucas Radovich.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Algiers, LA on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Melvyn’s favorite charity, Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. www. stjude.org.
