Obituary for Merle Bishop Merle Bishop Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, June 3, 2018, Mrs. Merle Bishop, 82. Mrs. Bishop enjoyed participating in church activities and was a proud military wife. She worked in the medical field and was a Red Cross Volunteer.
Mrs. Bishop loved the beach, poetry and cooking. She and her companion enjoyed traveling in their motor home. All pets were special to Mrs. Bishop.
Family members include her companion of 15 years: Ron Edson; son: Ken Bishop (Jo) of Brighton, TN; daughter: Brenda G. Smith of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren: Charslie Wisdom, Emily Pritt, Nathaniel Smith, Catherine Smith, Hannah Smith; great grandchildren: Aiden Gibson, Bishop Wisdom, Bella Wisdom, Elijah Pritt, Madison Pritt; brothers: Clark Henderson, Charles Z. Henderson; sister: Jeanette Bolton. She was preceded in death by her husband: James T. Bishop, Jr.; parents: Louise Alexander and Elijah Clarke; sisters: Linda Mallard, RuthAnn Peterson and Audrey Wall. A funeral service will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Atonement with Fr.
Kurt Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Chip Crow, Chris Edson, Allan Henderson, Charles Z. Henderson, Clark Henderson, Jason Pritt, and Pete Smith.
