Thompson Construction Company, died Wednesday in a North Charleston hospital. His funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday afternoon, January 20, 2019, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Mt.

Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery, Cross. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday. Mr. O’Conner was born July 25, 1945, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Zero O’Conner and Thelma Mills O’Conner.

He was a former dispatcher, truck driver, and heavy equipment operator for Butler Ware Trucking, and he enjoyed going to the drag strip, cookouts, the mountains, and spending time with his family. Mr. O’Conner loved his pet, Fat Boy, and he was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin O. Davis. Surviving are, his wife, Nell Headden O’Conner; a son, Chris O’Conner and his wife, Amy, of Moncks Corner; a sister, Carol Wright of Macedonia; a brother Jesse O’Conner of Bonneau; four grandchildren, Jaime Davis, Jay Davis, Clint O’Conner, and Tiffany Flores; three great grandchildren, Novalei Casselman, Kinlee O’Conner, and Chloe Flores; and one great grandchild on the way, Isabella O’Conner.
