Tommy was born on April 22, 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama, and is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Neal Dollar and Margaret Elizabeth Rowe Dollar. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Anne Dollar, sons, Eric Dollar and wife, Katie, of Austin, Texas, and Brian Dollar, fiancé, Monica Jarrett, and grandson, Peyton John Dollar, of Austin, Texas; brothers, Harry Dollar and wife, Renee, of Nassau Bay, Texas, and John Dollar and wife, Laurie, of Pearland, Texas, sister Katharine Cantu and husband, Arthur, of League City, Texas, cousin, Larry Dollar and wife, Nancy, of Overland Park, Kansas, mother-in-law, Bonnie Massey, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, brother-in-law, Charles Massey and wife, Christine, of Charleston, South Carolina, sister-in-law, Cynthia Massey Volkmar and husband, Thomas, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, and nieces Ashley Dollar, of Houston, Texas, Brianna Cantu and Alyssa Cantu, of League City, Texas, Anabel Massey, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and nephews, Zach Dollar, of Clear Lake City, Texas, Jesse Cantu and Josh Cantu, of League City, Texas, Jackson Dollar, of Pearland, Texas, Jake Dopson of Summerville, South Carolina, and C.V. Dopson, IV of San Diego, California.

Tommy was a graduate of the University of Houston – Clear Lake and spent his working career in the commercial insurance business in Houston where he met Sherry, his wife of 21 years. Tommy was a much loved husband, father, and brother and made many lifelong friends. Tommy loved spending time with his wife, Sherry, whom he cherished, and family and friends, as well as his beloved Schnauzers, Bonnie and Clyde.

Tommy enjoyed golfing, playing guitar, and spending time with Sherry on the water. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday afternoon, January 13, 2019, in the Gateway Church, 760 Clear Lake City Blvd. , Webster, TX 77598.

A celebration of life will follow at Water’s Edge, 3901 Nasa Road 1, El Lago, TX 77586. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made in Tommy’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
