Mr. Hardy retired from the Henry County Police Department on May 2, 2014 with 20 years of service. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his father: Hugh A. Hardy.

He is survived by his wife: Jill Hardy, children: Brandon Michael Hardy of Stockbridge, and Kristen Melton and husband Nathan of Canton, mother: Peggy Ann Hardy of McDonough, and grandchildren: Ayden Brandon Hardy and Grace Lynn Hardy. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Statham officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1-2 p.m.In lieu of flowers; Mike Hardy’s wishes were donations be made to Masonic Fraternal Lodge # 37, 34 Boulevard Drive, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
