Rachel Lee Thompson August 10, 1933 – February 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Rachel Lee Thompson, age 85, of Morrow, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 13, 2019. She was born August 10, 1933, to parents John B. Lee, Sr., and Margaret Bornstein Lee. She graduated from Carson-Newman College and enjoyed a long career with Southern/Republic/Northwest Airlines.

She married Donald “Donnie” Thompson who preceded her in death along with three brothers, John (Dorothy) Lee; Sidney (Vivian) Lee; Ray (Clovis) Lee; and three sisters, Margaret (Bill) Guice; Molly (Johnny) Guice; and Clara Lee. Left to honor her memory and remember her love are four sons, Mark (Debbie); Greg (Stacy); Tom (Glenda) and Zack (Vicki) Thompson. She adored her eleven grandchildren, Katie (Clay) Bennett; David (Katherine) Thompson; Alyson (Ken) Nesbitt; Dustin (Ashley) Thompson; Brian (Rebecca) Thompson; Justin (Madde) Thompson; Diana Thompson; Joseph Thompson; Tiffany Thompson; Suzanna Thompson; and Patrick Thompson, and was blessed with eleven precious great-grandchildren.

She also leaves behind a loving brother Powell (Shirley) Lee, sisters-in-law Vivian Lee and Glenna Moss, brothers-in-law Weyman, Dell (Jerry), and Richard (Zandra) Thompson, and many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Forest Park and nourished her large family and many friends with her enduring love, faith, and servant heart.
