Mr. McConnell was a Member of Grace Life Church and served in the US Navy. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter: Ava Thompson.

He is survived by his children: Natasha Thompson, Jasmine Echols and Franko McConnell; step-children: John Holt and Shelley Atkinson; sister and brother-in-law: Helen & Harry Camp; grandchildren: Deren Franklin Thompson and Dailen T. Thompson; nieces and nephews: Sean Camp (Jesse Dominguse), Ami Castillo (Chris), Kelly Defrench (Steve), Melanie McConnell (Heath Williams), Melissa McConnell, Matthew McConnell, and Marcus McConnell; great nieces and nephews: Darian Defrench, Ciera Defrench, Landon Defrench, Haley Hanks (Dylan), Sydney Castillo, Summer Ganyon, Grace Ganyon, Harrison McConnell, Marcus McConnell and Michael McConnell; great great niece: Henley Hanks. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at Grace Life Church in Marietta. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.

The family will receive friends form 6-8 PM, Friday, February 15th, 2019 at the funeral home.
