Obituary for Michael Garcia Michael S. Garcia of Pittsfield passed away on June 2, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center. He was 53 years old. Mike was born February 2, 1965 to Serafin “Rex” and Carol Blessing Garcia.

He leaves behind his father; two sons: Shawn of Albany, NY and Kevin of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, and his stepmother Kate Garcia. Mike was an auto mechanic at John’s Automotive and several other locations. He was also called by others to trouble shoot difficult problems.

Mike had many interests, among them playing electric guitars, building a guitar, rebuilding computers, and doing the sound for local musicians during concerts. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Service for Michael Garcia will be held on Monday, June 11 at 11 AM at the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA. There will be no Calling Hours.

Following the Service, Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mike’s name to the Berkshire Humane Society c/o Dery Funeral Home.
