Bridgeport, CT — Michael James Sosnowski, a.k.a. Dickie, 62, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was born in Bridgeport on January 7, 1957, a son of Olga (Melko) Sosnowski of Fairfield, CT and the late Albert Sosnowski. Raised in Bridgeport, he graduated from St. Ann School with the Class of 1970 and Notre Dame High School, Fairfield, with the Class of 1974.

Michael was the icon of Beverly Pizza House, working there for over 45 years, while becoming a successful real estate investor as well. Michael was a lifetime member of the Norden Club in Bridgeport. He was an avid sports lover, played actively in his youth, and particularly enjoyed following the Jets, Phillies and Rangers.

He enjoyed watching and playing golf. Dickie seemed to know everything about every player on every team in every sport. He loved traveling, whether it be a trip to Europe, Jamaica, or his home in Florida.

He loved the ocean and would always take the beach route, whether out to St. Mary’s or along Hampton Beach, NH, where he spent much of his time in recent years. In addition to his mother, surviving family members include his life partner Amy McManus and her son Dylan both of Hampton, NH; siblings Raymond Sosnowski and his wife Valerie Matthews of Ashton, MD, Daniel Sosnowski and his wife Cathy of Shelton, and Mark Sosnowski of Bridgeport; three nieces; and many cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster St, Bridgeport, CT 06605.

A celebration of life will take place at the Norden Club, 4 Seabright Avenue in Bridgeport immediately following. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association , 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
