Michael Joseph Hanson, 64, of Laconia, died Friday, October 19, 2018, at his home near Laconia. He was born June 1, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Ruth M. Baker Hanson and the late Peter G. Hanson. He was the owner of Hanson and Sons Builders, was formerly employed in the construction department at LG&E in Louisville, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Donna Marie Landau. Survivors include his wife, Susan G. Troncin Hanson; his mother of Corydon; and his sons, Kevin M. Hanson (Lauren) of Cocoa, Florida and Scott J. Hanson (Jessica) of Jeffersonville, Indiana. His funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.

Father Robert Hankee will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

There will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
