Michael Lynn Massengill, 51, of Eidson, TN, was born November 22, 1967, and went to be with the Lord February 1, 2019, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. Michael is preceded in death by his parents: James and Jamie Massengill; sisters, Eline Head, Betsy Gilliam, and Shirley Bledsoe; grandson, Noah Jayce Massengill; sister in law, Lisa Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Angie Massengill; daughters, Brittany Massengill, Ashley (Lane) Horton, Keeshia (Walker) Lawrence; son, Logan Massengill of the home; grandchildren, Shailynn, Weston, Bailey, Brooklynn, Dawson, Havyn, Jaxson, Bryson, Lakin and Wilo; siblings, Gillis (Patricia) Massengill, Timmy (Christy) Massengill, Iva Jean Bledsoe, Evline Lucas, Amanda Justice, Dena (Mike) Barner, Tom Willis, Jerry Falin and Wayne Falin, and Joleen Hurd; several nieces and nephews; and brother and sister-in-law, April and Ralph Sharp.

Michael, known as “Willie”, had a heart of gold. Willie was a devoted husband, a loving father, and would help anyone in need. Willie especially loved his grandbabies and would spoil them rotten.

Willie loved the Lord and told stories of being saved by himself at a tree as a boy. Willie worked to better his family, and loved his home that he built with his own hands. Willie was one of a kind.

He will forever be missed and never be forgotten. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Junior Brown officiating .
