On Thursday, February 7, 2019 Michael P Laurich 73 of Greenland, MI, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother entered his heavenly home. Michael was born September 25, 1945 to Joseph & Katherine (Aihler) Laurich in Marquette, MI. On May 10, 1969 he married Shirley Takala at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mass City, MI.

Michael served in the U.S. Navy. On the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam conflict. Where he received a commendation for his special mechanical skills used during wartime.

Michael operated his own trucking business. He was also called upon by many for his knowledge of mechanics. Michael is survived by his wife of over 49 years Shirley, son Tim, grandson Adam, sister Patricia (Cam) Martin, brother Ronald Laurich, sister in law Joyce (Carl) Sorvari and numerous nieces, nephews and cousin He was preceded in death by his loving children, son Dan & daughter Hope, his parents and brothers Bob & Joey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time this summer. The Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family.
