Michael’s Obituary Michael Parker, 63, of Pierre, Passed away February 26, 2019. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Feigum Funeral Home with interment following at Riverside Cemetery. Michael was born June 24, 1955 in Pierre, SD to William Fay and Winifred (Paryear) Parker.

The youngest of five children, he grew up in Pierre and attended Pierre public schools where he met the love of his life, Jo Livermont. Mike and Jo were married on October 27, 1979. Together they raised a loving son James.

Mike began a career with the City of Pierre over 30 years ago on June 13, 1988. First working at the Pierre City Municipal Airport and then transferring to the City Parks Department in 2000. Over the past 30 years of employ, he developed many close friendships with his co-workers.

Mike’s grandchildren, Brittany and Trevor, will forever remember the many summer camping adventures in the Pierre and Chamberlain areas. He also enjoyed the large campouts and get-togethers that were had with Jo’s family members that live in the area. Mike is survived by his son James Parker; grandchildren: Brittany Parker and Trevor Parker; along with his two great-grandchildren: Teegan and Garret.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Winifred, his wife Jo and siblings: Stanley Davis, William James, Patricia Louise and Peggy Joyce.
