Obituary for Michael Scott Taylor Michael Scott Taylor, age 53, died unexpectedly Monday, November 5, 2018, at a local hospital from lymphoma. Michael was born December 7, 1964 to Larry “Buck” and Barbara (Malley) Taylor in Muskegon. He was a graduate of Muskegon High School and Muskegon Community College where he played baseball.

He also coached baseball for the Muskegon Little Reds and Big Reds and went on to umpire local baseball games through the MHSAA. Michael was an avid fisherman and hunter. He played hockey, baseball and golf and had a passion for gardening, producing great veggies every year which he was happy to share.

He was employed at Hemisphere Design Works in inventory control and was a member of the Lakeside Vets Club, and Vikings Linne Lodge #57. Everyone who knew Michael had a story about him. He loved to chop wood, have fish fry’s for friends and family, and was a big fan of Red Skelton.

He was a kind and generous man who would do anything for anybody and will be greatly missed by everyone including his parents, Larry and Barbara; his twin brothers, Larry and Brad Taylor; niece and nephew, Lauren and Cory Taylor; special friend, Tina Cherry and her son, Arik; and his cats, Nibbler and Balaintay. A CELEBRATION OF MICHAEL’S LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 Sherman Blvd. (231 759-8565) with Pastor John Brown officiating, followed by a reception at the Vikings Linne Lodge #57, 3132 Lakeshore Drive.
