Michael Shay McHerron April 05, 1998 – March 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Our son and brother; Michael Shay McHerron, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, March 17, 2019 after an accidental firearm injury. This tragedy occurred just 18 days short of his 21st birthday. Michael or Shay, was very outgoing, kind, and friendly.

He would always stop to give hugs and open doors for others. He enjoyed doing most anything with his buddies, especially outdoors. Michael liked hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and shooting.

He also had a great talent and love for roller skating, and in recent years he had taken a big interest in motorcycles, especially Harley’s. Michael was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the young men’s program. He was a free spirit, independent, kid at heart who will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Michael Shay was born in Holland, Michigan April 5, 1998 to R. Michael McHerron and Tammy Riddell McHerron and spent the last ten years living in Utah between Lehi and Midvale. He is survived by his parents, siblings and many family members, friends and pets. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 2019 at 11:00am in the Traverse Mt.

, 12th Ward Chapel, 2198 Foxtail Drive, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8:00pm at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street and from 9:30-10:45am prior to the service on Monday morning. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
