Obituary for Michael Shirley Michael Shirley, age 48, passed away after his battle with cancer on October 2, 2018. He was born in Columbus on December 4, 1969 to James and Beverly Clifford Shirley. Michael was a graduate of Whitehall High School and studied further in North Carolina to pursue an education.

He was a proud Tar Heel. Michael worked in Columbus as an accountant for many years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly.

Michael is survived by his father, James; grandparents, Gilbert and Lucy Shirley of Columbus; brothers, Brian (Ryan) Shirley and Timothy (Jackie) Shirley; and many other dear friends and family. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, October 8 at the O. R. WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E.
