Obituary for Mildred Louise Harmon Mildred Louise Harmon, 78, of Summerville, wife of Henry J. Harmon, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her residence. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 1 o’clock until hour of service at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 2 o’clock.

Flowers will be accepted. Mildred was born on June 23, 1939 in Columbus, OH, daughter of the late Lewis F. and Carrie Sue Strickland. She loved working with her flowers, crocheting and loved her pets.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors including her husband Henry are: two sons: Carl McClam of Moncks Corner and Anthony (Andy) Harmon (Dana) of Tallahassee, FL; two daughters: Wanda Harmon of Summerville and Debora Avinger of Awendaw, SC; four grandchildren: Amanda Blue (Anderson) of Bennettsville, Heather Avinger of Bennettsville, J.C. Avinger of Bennettsville and Hayle McClam of Charleston; two great grandchildren; three brothers: James Oliver Strickland, Thomas Floyd Strickland, and Edward Malvin Strickland; four sisters: Helen Jeanette Strickland Williams (Dale), Doris Ann Strickland Taylor (Bruce), Linda Sue Strickland Martinez, and Teresa Gail Strickland (Patrick Swartzel). She was predeceased by three brothers: William Eugene Strickland, Walter Baton Strickland, and Robert Gary Strickland.
