OBITUARY Mona M Small October 16, 1938 – November 18, 2018 Mona M. Small, 80, of Rockford passed away November, 18, 2018. She was Born Oct. 16, 1938 in Vincennes Indiana.

Mona spent much of her time making and gifting tie-blankets to her friends, family, and as veteran’s donations. She was dubbed “The Blanket Lady” in tribute to her hard work. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church and a member of the (AL’s) Vagabonds Camping Club.

She enjoyed traveling, and spent her time in retirement with her Husband, Jack, as Texas Snow Birds. Mona is survived by her children, Brian Small, John Small, Dee Small, her grandchildren, Justin Small, Kayla Small, Krystal Small/Sanchez, Roland Small, and her great grandchildren Aria Sanchez and Hudson Small. She is predeceased by her husband Jack Small, her parents, Charles and Bess Doane, her Sister Earlene Warmuth, and her dog Mojo.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30, 10am at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Pastor Mike Killian will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9am to time of service.

Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences can be submitted at www.
