In Loving Memory of Monica Louise Morgan Monica Morgan was born on March 14, 1940 in Slayton, Minnesota to Charles and Yvonne Galles Solter. She grew up on a farm near Slayton until 1950 when the family moved to a farm near Hadley, MN. Monica graduated from Slayton High School in 1958.

She then attended Presentation School of Nursing in Sioux Falls, SD, graduating in 1961. Following graduation Monica moved to Minneapolis, MN for one year before returning to Slayton. On May 25, 1963 she and Henry Tritz were married at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton.

Henry passed away on October 22, 1963. On July 2, 1966 she and Robert Morgan were married at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Following their marriage they made their home in Slayton where Monica worked at the Murray County Medical Center until 1968 when they moved to Biloxi, MS.

In 1972 they moved to Anaheim, CA until 1975 when they returned to Slayton. In 1983 they moved to Jordan, MN. Monica worked at Queen of Peace in New Prague until 2005 when she retired.

Robert passed away on January 30, 1996. Monica passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee, MN at the age of 78. She was a member of St. John’s Church in Jordan, MN.

Monica enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, puzzles, crosswords, reading, music, playing cards and Scrabble. Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Michael and Kathy Tritz of Woodbury, MN. Children Gabriel (Kara) Tritz, Zachariah (Caitlin fiancée), Bethany, Marina.

Frederick and Sharon Morgan of Shakopee, MN. Children Haley, Hannah, Rachel, Amberlynn. Jarrod and Gina Morgan of Elk River, MN.

Children Victoria and Alexander. Derrick and Jennifer Morgan of Woodbury, MN. Children Allison, Lindsey and Evan, two siblings and their spouses, Elayne and Lloyd Finke of Slayton, MN, and George and Patsy Solter of Crofton, MD, and several nieces and nephews and their families.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Henry Tritz and Robert Morgan, nephew, Jason Solter, and great nephew, Cody Finke. Funeral Services St. Ann’s Church in Slayton, MN on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Thien Nguyen officiating.

The pianist is Ruth Bonnstetter. The song leader is Joann Halbur. The pallbearers are Rick Finke, Gary Finke, Clayton Crowley, Dean Streff, Gary Busse, Troy Saunders, Dale Nelson, Kelly McCarthy, and Michael Solter.

Interment is at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Slayton, MN.
