Obituary for MORRIS MERKER Morris Merker, 96 of Overland Park, KS passed away July 16, 2018. Private family graveside services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

Morris was born November 8, 1921 in Kansas City, MO to Abe and Rose (Yazman) Merker. After graduation from high school, Morris joined the U.S. Navy in 1941. After discharge he worked in the liquor industry for 38 years until his retirement in 1986.

He also volunteered several years at Menorah Medical Center and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. Morris was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Frances and Florence Merker. Survivors include his wife of almost 70 years, Carolyn; sons, Randy (Gail) Merker, Richard (Jenni) Merker; grandchildren, Brian Merker, Adam (Sara) Merker, Oliver (Wendy) Elliott, Sarah (Mike) Ekey and eight great grandchildren.
