Morton S. Williams of Sugar Grove passed away September 24, 2018 at the age of 92. He was born on November 20, 1925 to Horace and Clara Morton Williams in Falconer, New York, where he graduated from Falconer Central School and later moved to Sugar Grove when he married Arlene York Williams on July 2, 1949. As a WWII vet, where he served as a tank operator, he was very supportive of all veterans.

He was employed many years as a Letter Carrier in Jamestown, New York. He was a member of the VFW Post 53 in Jamestown, and the AMVETS Post 50 in Sugar Grove. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Dennis and Andre Williams and a brother, Frances Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years; 2 sons, Owen Williams (Julie) of Warren and John Williams of Sugar Grove; one daughter, Susan Johnson of Sugar Grove; a daughter-in-law, Annette Williams of Clymer, NY; 14 grandchildren, Denny Williams (Jodi), Nicole Chapman (Ryan), Jennifer (Brian) Entwisle, Renee Lang (Matt), Brady Williams (Erin), Tyler Williams (Kallie), Jeremy Williams (Michelle), Toby Williams (Courtney), Cody Williams, Heather Williams (Tommy), Megan Williams (Tim), Sara Williams, Sarah Drollinger (Alex), and Jesse Williams (Anne); 15 great-grandchildren and a sister, Clover Ulrich of West Palm Beach, FL. Friends will be received at the Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. on Wednesday from 4 – 8 pm where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at 11 am with Rev. Marcus Briggs officiating.

Graveside services will follow in the Sweedish Cemetery on Matthews Run Road, Sugar Grove where full military honors will be held by the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard. The family suggests those wishing to place a memorial may do so to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department or Hospice of Warren County.
