Muriel J. Jarvis, 85, of Owensboro died on Monday, February 4, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born February 24, 1933 in Owensboro to the late Alva and Pauline Cisney Jarvis. She retired from General Electric after 40 years.

Muriel loved a good bargain and was a favorite customer at Windmill Antiques and Goodwill, where everyone knew her by name. She loved buying treasures for her family, especially her great-great nieces and nephews. Muriel was bold and stood her ground, but fiercely loved her family, who will deeply miss her — especially her sass and quick wit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Paul Jarvis and Robert Jarvis and sisters Judie Hoover and Karla Faust. She is survived by three sisters, Patsy Pagan, Shirley Wills and June Morton, and brother James Jarvis as well as generations of nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral services or visitation at Muriel’s request.

James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Heartford House of Owensboro, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301, who took wonderful care of Muriel. To plant a tree in memory of Muriel Jarvis, please visit our Tribute Store.
