Nalda’s Obituary Nalda Renfro went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 28, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born on September 4, 1927 to Raymond and Erma Lucille Lee in her grandparents’ home in Brown County Texas. Nalda graduated from Coleman High School in 1944 and left for North Texas State Teachers College (now UNT) a few days after her 17th birthday.

At the beginning of her senior year, she met Morris Renfro at a Bible study on the campus, and they were married on November 24, 1950. They lived in Denton for their 60 years of marriage and had one daughter. Nalda taught 2nd grade at Selwyn School and 4th grade at Ginnings Elementary.

Nalda was a dedicated mother, loving grandmother, and loyal friend. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and she enjoyed studying her Bible and praying. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her sweet smile, encouraging words, and her good sense of humor.

Nalda is survived by her daughter, Becky Dickens and her husband Tom, granddaughter, Christina Taylor and her husband Luke, and four great-granddaughters, Lucy, Jillian, Molly and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her husband Morris. Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM.

A memorial service will follow immediately afterwards at 11:00 in the chapel of the funeral home. The family would like to thank Selam, Danny and their children John, Hannah, and Lia for the loving care they gave to “Grana” and for treating her like a family member for the seven years she lived in their home.
