Obituary for Nancy Ann Landers Rye – Nancy Ann Landers, 86, of Rye, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Evolve Senior Living in Rye where she had been living since falling ill. Nancy was born in Beverly, Mass. , July 21, 1932, the daughter of the late James and Reba (Hoar) Guething and was the wife of the late Arthur J. Landers who died in 2000.

Nancy was raised in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School where she excelled in extracurricular activities and enjoyed her time as a drum majorette. While living in Danvers, Mass. , she was actively involved in the Little League program and served as the league’s first woman president.

She and her late husband Arthur, owned and operated Laminated Films & Packaging, moving the business to Portsmouth in 1984 and making their home in Greenland. As a hobby, Nancy started a music production company, Landers Productions, and was instrumental in bringing Reba McIntire to the Portsmouth Music Hall. She also enjoyed movies, country music and her winters in Melbourne, FL.

Family members include her son, Jim Landers and his wife Kathy of North Hampton and her two grandchildren, Jeff and Bryan Landers. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
