Obituary for Nancy Burke Ramsey Nancy Burke Ramsey of Kingston, TN passed away Monday, December 10 after a brief illness. She was born in the beautiful valley of the Cumberland Mountain Range in Speedwell, TN on Thanksgiving Day, November 26,1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley B. Ramsey, parents Willard Glen and Daley Mae Maddox Burke, infant brother James Franklin Burke, sister Vivian Faye Beaty and brother Ray Allen Burke, in-laws Goldie and Bernice Shoffner, Senter and Mildred Ely, Tom and Barta Ramsey, and Aileen and Frank Earle of Middlesboro, KY.

During World War II, Nancy worked for the H.T Hackney Co. in Middlesboro in charge of food stamp collection and distribution. She is survived by daughters, Linda Ramsey Murr of Lakeworth, FL and Daley Ramsey Rogers of Kingston. She is also survived by son-in-law Tom Rogers and grandsons Kyle Rogers of Kingston, Robert Murr, Doug Murr and Thomas Tatham of Lakeworth, FL and half-brother Ansel Burke of Middlesboro, KY, many nephews, nieces, cousins, special friend Odella Bushey and many other friends.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 13th at Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. Receiving of family and friends from 4 to 6 PM with funeral service to follow. The graveside service will be Friday, December 14th at 2 PM at Ramsey-Scott Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.
