Obituary for Nancy Louise McNamer Nancy Louise McNamer, 70, a resident of Yuba City for 28 years, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, after a long struggle with cancer. She was cared for at home, by her family and beloved husband, until her peaceful passing. Family meant everything to Nancy and she was loved dearly by them.

She was born to Herbert and Elaine (Marcois) Dimaline in New Jersey, on May 28, 1948. Her parents then moved the family to California. Nancy has resided in Madera, Walnut Creek, Redding, Sacramento, Fair Oaks, and lastly Yuba City, California.

Nancy held a variety administrative positions throughout her life and retired from Sutter County as Deputy Clerk of the Board in 2006. She has spent her retirement years pursuing her love of art. She was an artist who painted and produced mosaics.

It was always what she really wanted to do with her life. It was her passion. Nancy was a beautiful person inside and out.

She was an animal lover who had and spoiled many lucky animals throughout her life. She valued all life, and had to relocate spiders. She was a very strong woman, a feminist, who believed in woman power!

She met her loving and devoted husband, Richard McNamer in 1979, in Redding, California where they fell madly in love. They married in 1983 and have been together ever since. He was her best friend.

Nancy was a wonderful mom to Darrin. She loved and adored him and always put him first. She was also a wonderful mom to her daughter-in-law Sonja, and always said Sonja was her daughter.

Darrin and Sonja gave Nancy two granddaughters, Salena and Marissa, that she absolutely adored. They spent a lot of time at grandma and grandpa’s house getting spoiled. They brought her so much joy.

She is survived by her husband, Richard McNamer; son, Darrin Dillree; daughter-in-law Sonja Dillree; granddaughters; Salena and Marissa Dillree; brothers, Roger, David, and Christopher Vandevert; and her favorite and only sister, Joan Maricle. She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Dimaline; mother, Elaine Vandevert; and her infant son, Brett Dillree. A private gathering will be held.
