Obituary for Nancy S. Tempalski Nancy S. Tempalski, 73, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died September 11, 2018, at Poudre Valley Hospital surrounded by her beloved family. Nancy was born June 14, 1945, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her parents, Helen and Elton Collins, and her sister Nadine, precede her in death.

Nancy was the youngest of three siblings. Nancy graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1963. She went on to Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado for a short time.

On December 27, 1967, she married EdwardTempalski of Pittsburgh, PA; divorcing in 2013. They had two children, Carrie M. Tempalski andGregory R. Tempalski. Nancy worked at Poudre Valley Hospital for 32 years in the Emergency Room as thedepartment secretary.

She was known as “Mom” to the many staff members and colleagues who’s lives she touched. She knew how to remain calm in the face of whatever storm came her way, and she did so with a smile, grace and an incredible sense of humor. She retired in 2010, but her influence is still felt throughout the local medical community.

In retirement, Nancy volunteered at Source Point Community Acupuncture, the clinic owned and operated by her daughter Carrie. Her influence there was felt by every person who she encountered. Carrie hadthe honor of working with her mother side by side for the past 25 years, a gift she will never forget.

Her most influential job was that of Mother. Her children have been inspired by her courageduring the hardest times in her life and she has shown them how to remain proud and strong inthe face of difficulty. She taught them about perspective, love, and how to be selfless when itcounted the most.

She always put her children first, and because of that, they know gratitude. Her son, Greg is grateful for all the times she went out of her way to encourage him and makehim laugh with her quick wit and unending love. She is survived by her children, Carrie Tempalski (Heather) and Greg Tempalski of Fort Collins; her brother, Charles Collins (Gloria) of Fort Collins; her niece and nephews and their childrenwho loved Nancy as well.
